My cousin is a hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am guessing that you all have heard of the shooting. It was a sad thing. But my cousing Gabe Grossman saved a mans life! I know it's hard to belive. It's hard for me to belive too. But watch this video and listen to his boss talk about my cousin that is a complete hero although he dosn't think that. He has been trying to stay away from the media but he is having a hard time. Poor Gabe. Here is what the email from my aunt said:
It was no long 'just another shooting' for Gabe and all of us...it was very close to home. Gabe knew Tony, the one shot by the gunman not because they worked in the same office but in the same building. So now that he quite literally saved his life they have a very emotional tie...and Gabe was able to go visit Tony in the hospital but only by code word. No one else is allowed in the hospital room without a code. It has been a roller coaster of emotions for Gabe this week. And we are so thankful he is safe and well and so is Tony. He still has the bullet in his chest and drs are trying to decide the best way to get it out...it is in a precarious place but he is stable otherwise.

Great News!

I just got GREAT news!! My dad WILL be up on Christmas!!!!!!!! My grandma and grandpa got him tickets... or else he wouldn't be up... because they are to expensive. I can't wait!!

THRIVE

Wow, it's been crazy!! This month passed by soooo fast! Well last weekend I went to a church retreat! It was sooo much fun! Emily,Taylor, and me went. Well, thats how it started out. You see before we left Taylor wasn't feeling good and threw-up in her pillow.So she went and called her mom. She came back with a new pillow and was feeling fine! She said it was what her brother and cousin had. You throw-up one time and then you feel fine. So we kept going. We left and we were having fun then all the sudden Taylor says "I don't feel good" and 5 seconds later throws up in the pillow. So we pulled off at popeys and her dad came and picked her up. We got back it the van and Kevbo was blasting Z100. We had a great time on the van! And at every song that came on the boy next to me was like "I love this song!" And he was singing to it! He was'nt bad at all, he was actually really good. It was like we had a t.v. as Emily would say! We got there about an hour later and had to find our stuff. I couldn't find my sleeping bag and so that freaked me out but then I found it! The next day we had breakfast and our session and we ate lunch..... but then there was the DIRTY game! There were kitty pools with canned dog food in it so we had to spin around in it 3 times (and boy did it STINK) then go to the slip n' slide and the counselor people were putting baby shampoo on it (I got some in my eyes) then we had to get up and run through counselors hitting you with noodles, then you had to go to the pool of instant pudding and put your knees and elbows in it, and finally get up and run through the counselors throwing flour at you! It was fun,gross,and even grosser. Then we did other stuff, had a bonfire, went to our cabins got ready for bed then a couple people pranked cabin 10 and 11! Then we went to bed. Got up at 8:15 had to be packed before you came to breakfast at 8:30. Did more stuff then went home! It was a fun weekend! Can't wait for next year and I hope ALL THREE OF US can go!!!
